Step II
Upon receipt of your application, one of our placement directors will contact you to discuss your particular child care needs. We will compile a family profile from this information, and use it to match your specific needs to our candidates or any candidates you may meet at our Meet & Greet.

To ensure familiarity with our Sitters we invite you to come to our monthly Sitter Meet & Greets to get to know Sitters who will best fit your families schedule and preferences. Upon request we can provide resumes of Sitters whose hours meet the needs of your family.
CONFIRMATIONS
Sitters confirm their bookings by telephone with you by 7 pm the day before the reservation to introduce herself and go over the arrival/departure system, this is the time to give her any relevant information about the children's bedtimes/naptimes, meal times, and any special words for going to the bathroom, favorite toys etc. (this is to ensure a smooth transition from parent to Sitter). Contact us if the Sitter has not confirmed by the specified time or arrived 15 min before the schedule reservation.
How much notice do we require?
Sometimes we can book a Sitter for you at very short notice(less than 24 hours). However, longer notice may be required at our peak times especially for Weekends and Holidays.
Our peak times are the end of May and the beginning of July, all of December – especially the days leading up to Christmas. Even longer notice is required for our two busiest nights of the year – New Years Eve and St. Valentine’s night.
ON ARRIVAL
When your Sitter arrives 15 min before your appointment, please go over the Parent’s Emergency checklist, and also review the arrival/departure system. Please go over our Parent Emergency Checklist and (A/D system) on every visit.
FOOD AND DRINK
Meals should be provided for your Sitters where appropriate (i.e. on evening jobs where your Sitter is requested to arrive before 7.00 pm). Otherwise she should be provided with an opportunity to make herself a snack and a drink.
CANCELLATIONS AND DELAYS
here is normally no charge for cancelled bookings provided 24 hours notice is given. If this cannot be done or cannot be prevented, a standard charge of $30 is to be paid to the agency. If you know of anything that may delay your homecoming, or if circumstances arise that may cause any delay, please telephone our office of any revised expected time of arrival.

This leaves you the freedom to enjoy your evening or day trip with complete peace of mind, but an overtime fee will be assessed charges for less than 1 hour will be charged to the nearest ¼ hour.
